Free vs PRO explained

Updated Apr 30, 2026 · 4 min read

Elevate Hockey Stats has two plans: Free and PRO. Both let you track games, manage your roster, and follow your team's season. PRO unlocks the deeper stuff — player-level stats, AI Insights, shot maps, full game history, and more. Every account starts with a 3-game PRO trial so you can see what PRO is like before deciding.

What's on the Free plan

Free covers the basics of running a team and tracking games. You get:

  • A single team with full roster management
  • Live game tracking with goals, shots, misses, blocks, and penalties logged on the rink
  • Game scores and team-level stats
  • Your 5 most recent games visible in your history
  • A 3-game PRO trial that lets you test the full PRO experience

Free uses Quick mode by default. Quick mode logs every event to your team or the opponent without asking which player was involved. It's faster but gives you team-level stats only, not player breakdowns.

What PRO unlocks

PRO is built for coaches who want to go deeper than the score sheet. Everything in Free, plus:

  • Player-level attribution on every event (goals, shots, blocks, misses, penalties)
  • Full player profiles with shot maps, scoring streaks, and game-by-game breakdowns
  • Goalie profiles with save percentage, goals against average, and shots faced
  • AI Insights generated after every finalized game, surfaced on your home dashboard
  • Shot maps on player, game, and opponent pages
  • Opponent analysis with shot maps and historical matchup data
  • Full game history instead of just the 5 most recent
  • Roster CSV import to bulk-add players from a spreadsheet
  • Quick mode toggle so you can switch between full tracking and Quick mode whenever you want

PRO is $14 CAD per month, or $109 CAD per year (saves $59 vs monthly).

How the 3-game PRO trial works

Every new account gets 3 games of full PRO access, no credit card required. While you're on the trial, you have everything PRO offers: player stats, AI Insights, shot maps, the full toolkit.

A trial counter sits near the top of your home dashboard showing how many games you have left (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3). The counter has an upgrade button right inside it so you can move to a paid plan whenever you're ready. Once you finalize your third trial game, the counter disappears and your account reverts to the Free plan.

A few things to know:

  • The trial is one-time per account. It does not reset if you cancel and come back.
  • Trial games count against the 3 only when you finalize them. Games you delete or leave unfinalized don't count.

After the trial ends, your account reverts to Free. Your team's win/loss record and team-level stats stay visible. The 3 trial games you tracked still have full player data attached to them, but viewing player profiles, shot maps, and AI Insights is locked behind the upgrade screen until you subscribe. New games tracked on Free use Quick mode only, which records team-level events without player attribution.

Switching between plans

You can upgrade to PRO any time from Settings → Billing, or by tapping the upgrade button on the trial counter or anywhere else in the app where it appears.

You can cancel from Settings → Billing as well. Cancelling drops you back to the Free plan at the end of your billing period.
